The 1st international DECODER workshop on BCI for the detection of consciousness in non-responsive patients. It will be hedl on April 11-13 2012 in Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris)
At the Institute for Knowledge Discovery, BCI-Lab at the Graz University of Technology, Austria, a PhD position (starting any time) is available.
We are please to inform you that on october 12th, José del R. Millán received the IEEE Norbert Wiener Award for "seminal and pioneering contributions to non-invasive brain-computer interfaces, in particular brain-controlled robots, wheelchairs and prostheses".

On October 9, 2011, the TOBI project participated to the Night of the Nerds in Amsterdam.
The Night of the Nerds is an initiative to interest teenagers for science and technolgy. For this purpose the TOBI project demonstrated its chess game.

Swiss French Radio Program on Science "Impatience" interviewed several researchers that presented projects during the FET11 conference. TOBI project participated to the exhibition and is interviewed on this podcast. The booth and project was considered as the best exhibit of FET11 by the interviewer.

TOBI participated to "The European Future Technologies Conference and Exhibition" FET11 in Budapest on 4-6 May 2011.
TOBI's brain-controlled telepresence robot brought to the Commissioner a red push button for her to press and officially open the FET11 conference.
The University of Wuerzburg is seeking a PhD-student or post-doctoral researcher interested in the development and evaluation of EEG based paradigms for the detection of consciousness in non-responsive patients.
