TOBI at ICT 2010
Come and meet us at the ICT 2010 event in Brussels on September 27-29
We will hold a technology or research stand, located in Zone R1 - Smart Systems, booth 2934.
This exhibit is organised by the TOBI project which fronts 12 leading European partners in all the areas related to translating non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) research into practical technology for disabled people. After a short introduction to BCI using highly visual posters, visitors will watch life demos of six prototypes developed by the TOBI team. Visitors can also interact with the demos.
In demos 1, 2 and 3 people can control with software and physical devices for communication (text entry and web browser) and motor substitution (FES neuroprosthesis and assistive telepresence robot) by using their spontaneous brain activity. Prototypes 4 and 5 exploit natural brain responses to items appearing in the computer for entertainment (photo browser and brain painting). Demo 6 is a new commercial wireless helmet made of dry electrodes that visitors can wear to visualise immediately their brain state.
